Statement of Intent
The Department of Internal Medicine encourages faculty to apply for research/study leave in accordance with the University of Manitoba, Policy and Procedure - Research/Study Leaves for Academic Staff Excluded from Bargaining Units.
Policy
- After six (6) years of service as a full-time faculty member staff are eligible to apply for a research/study leave of up to one year.
- Applications must be submitted to the Department of Internal Medicine Head by August 31st of the year immediately preceding the academic year for which the research/study leave is requested.
- Draws will be reduced to “0” during the research/study leave. Alternate arrangements should be discussed with the Department of Internal Medicine Managing Director.
