This page explains how to change a survey in LimeSurvey.

What can't be changed

The University of Manitoba, the College of Physicians and Surgeons, and Accreditation require that we solicit feedback that meets certain requirements for accredited rounds. We are using LimeSurvey to fulfil the requirements.

Interro-01.gif For now, everyone will be on their own in understanding which questions are required. Please contact the College and the U of M to find out which fields are needed. Please update here if you find anything out.

The survey has to remain token based / not anonymized in order for us to be able to do our attendance tracking with the data. We will not release the identity of participants.

What can be changed

You can definitely add questions or delete the second speaker component, and you may be able to change or delete questions as long as they comply with the above. Make a copy of your survey and edit using the following instructions. If you need assistance with this, contact Tina Tenbergen or Herman Aubel.

Deleting the second speaker

  1. if not already logged on, log onto LimeSurvey_CPD_Tracking
  2. click on List surveys
  3. find the survey you want to
  4. under "Survey menu" on the left, click "List questions"
  5. find the line "Speaker 2" and click the garbage bin at the left edge to delete it
  6. click on "Overview" in the button panel on the left and "Preview survey" to view the updated survey

Adding a question

  1. if not already logged on, log onto LimeSurvey_CPD_Tracking
  2. click on List surveys
  3. find the survey you want to
  4. under "Survey menu" on the left, click "List questions"
  5. click the "add new question" button at the top to start a new question
  6. enter a word to identify the question under "Code" - this will not be visible to participants, it just identifies the data
  7. enter the actual question in the question field
  8. if you just want a free text question ignore this, but if you want a different question type (e.g. multiple choice, yes/no) then click the button behind "Question type" and choose your question; for types other than text, give it a try and if you can't make it work talk to Tina Tenbergen or Herman Aubel.
  9. under "Question group" pick with which other questions this one should be grouped on the form. Probably with "The speakers" or "Takeaways"
  10. click the "Save" button a the top right corner
  11. click on "Overview" in the button panel on the left and "Preview survey" to view the updated survey
