This article describes how to assign office space to a new physician or employee.

This needs to be done for many new employees, but not for non-GFT physicians.

Process

GFT Physician

Early in the recruitment process, before the Request to Recruit (R2R) is sent for approvals, the Managing Director will work with Section Heads and sites to arrange for office space. Office space will be secured at the site where the majority of the physician's work will take place. At HSC, there is no guarantee that space will be located with the General Hospital - only that it will be on site. Office space is limited and difficult to secure at all sites.

Physicians are also welcome to share larger offices with each other, at their discretion. Advise the Managing Director if you are interested.

Employees

There is no entitlement to an office, only workspace for employees. The Managing Director along with the Physician Services Manager will arrange prior to recruitment and posting of a position.
