RSS feeds are a way to be notified of changes to a web site. For example, canges on UmIntMed Wiki and the Internal Medicine News Blog can be followed via RSS feed.

There are special RSS feed agregators, but Outlook can also be used for this.

Adding an RSS feed to Outlook

There are other RSS feed readers but we all have Outlook. To add an RSS feed in Outlook:

  1. under your mailbox, right-click on "RSS Feeds" --> "Add a new RSS feed..."
  2. paste the URL of the RSS feed, e.g.
  3. click "Add"

You will now see a new unread item in your "RSS Feeds" folder in Outlook every time something changes.
