  • Attendees take it once. This course course is for the incoming R4 residents, and to take place in either August or September ie, early in the first year of their Gastroenterology residency

  • The course usually requires a minimum of 6 residents to run the course, so the R4 GI residents will join other residents for this course
  • Reimbursement is through MSAS as this course is considered a mandatory course: Trainee pays for the course in advance, then gives receipt & certificate of completion to PA, PA completes the reimbursement forms (WRHA reimbursement form with MSAS's Cost Centre. Reimbursement is then done through MSAS, completion of certificate to be sent along with reimbursement forms
    • Below are instructions to access your account and download any needed certificates (Procedural Sedation, SimART, Ultrasound Guided Access etc.) as needed, as well as receipts for payment.
      • Follow these steps to access your events and certificates in the University of Manitoba’s new Continuing Professional Development Registration system (ELMS) :
        • a. Login to https://www.cpd-umanitoba.com/ (update your account if necessary)
        • b. Hover over ‘My Account’ in the top right and select “My Event Registrations & Certificates”
        • c. Scroll down to your event and click ‘Generate Certificate’ then click ‘Download Certificate’ for a PDF document ready to print.
